On November 14, 2016, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Philadelphia Police officers were called to the 1700 block of Cambridge Street. There, they discovered Hassan Wood suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Emergency medical personnel who arrived at the scene pronounced him dead. Wood, who lived on the 1600 block of North 17th Street, was known by his loved ones as a "gentle giant." His family remembered him as a man with a kind personality who loved his family and had a passion for horses.
