The murder of Barbara Katherine Cunningham, a 34-year-old woman, remains unsolved after over five decades. Cunningham was found strangled to death in her apartment on West 8th Avenue, Eugene, Oregon, on May 25, 1971. She had been discovered by her mother, who had become worried after not hearing from her daughter. Police determined that Cunningham had been killed between the afternoon of May 24 and the morning of May 25.
