Who killed Deontae Morris in 1999?
On the night of August 26, 1999, Deontay Morris, an 18-year-old Portland resident, was tragically shot and killed at Pier Park in North Portland. Police were called to the scene at approximately 10 p.m. after reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they found Morris near the park's bathrooms, where he had been fatally shot. At the time of the shooting, Morris was accompanied by two young women, though they were unable to provide a description of the suspects involved.
