On a Sunday evening in late February of 2016, the life of Gary Jay Baechler, a 48-year-old Caucasian male, was tragically cut short. On February 28th, police responded to a call in Southeast Portland and found Baechler unconscious and suffering from gunshot wounds inside a residence. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
