In the autumn of 1982, the community of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, was shaken by the discovery of a young life brutally cut short. On October 7th, the body of 17-year-old Paula Stringer, a Caucasian female, was found in a remote area, approximately a quarter of a mile south of Old Highway 64 near 161st West Avenue. The scene told a story of a violent end; she had been stabbed and bludgeoned to death, a grim conclusion to a life that was just beginning.
