In the autumn of 1985, the city of Tulsa was confronted with a grim discovery that would become a long-standing mystery. On September 16th, the body of fifty-year-old Toy Roy Robinson, a male, was found in a parking lot situated on East 9th Street. The discovery sent a chill through the community, as the cause of his death was determined to be strangulation, a detail that spoke to a violent and personal final few moments of his life.
