On the night of October 12, 2007, 29-year-old African American male Leeroy Henderson was fatally shot in the Colina Del Sol neighborhood of San Diego, California. According to the San Diego Police Department, patrol officers heard gunshots near 4800 El Cajon Boulevard around 11:18 p.m. Upon investigating, they discovered Mr. Henderson lying next to his vehicle in the east alley of the 4300 block of 48th Street. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
