In the early morning hours of September 24, 2003, officers responded to a report of shots fired in the area of 4500 Logan Avenue. Upon their arrival, the officers found the victim, 31-year-old Larry Branch, lying on the sidewalk inside the entryway to the apartment complex at 4500 Logan Avenue, suffering from several gunshot wounds to his face and legs.
