On June 16, 2002, Gregg Adamec was fatally shot while walking on the 5000 block of Voltaire Street in San Diego, California. The incident occurred around 9:15 p.m. A witness reported hearing a gunshot and then saw Adamec lying on the sidewalk. The shooter, described as a white male with dark hair wearing dark clothing, was observed standing over Adamec's body before fleeing the scene on a bicycle.
