Francisco Javier Nava, age 22, was killed on January 11, 2009, in San Diego, California. The incident occurred in the O'Farrell neighborhood where Nava was found with multiple stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. After the attack, the suspect stole Nava's car, which was eventually traced through an Automated License Plate Recognition (ALPR) system.
