Freddy Hernandez, aged 20, was tragically killed on November 17, 2012, in Chicago's La Villita neighborhood. Freddy's death came as a result of gang-related violence, which was prevalent in the area. Freddy, who had previously been involved with gangs, had worked hard to change his life, leaving behind his previous affiliations and participating in rehabilitation programs.
