On April 7, 2023, 28-year-old Tyrece "Rees" Tarver tragically lost his life to gun violence in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the West Garfield Park neighborhood, where he was fatally shot on the street.
The same incident also claimed the life of 23-year-old Sirjah Jones. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene, highlighting the ongoing issue of gun violence in the area.
