On June 30, 2012, 34-year-old Stephen McClendon was shot and killed in City Heights, San Diego, along with 18-year-old Rickquese McCoy. The shooting occurred on 44th Street at approximately 11 p.m., and a third individual, a 20-year-old man, was also critically injured during the incident. The attack appeared to be random, and despite initial investigations, the suspect remains at large.
