On May 14, 2022, at approximately 1:30 a.m., 35-year-old Brandon Dewayne Miller was found deceased in the driver's seat of a vehicle on the 4400 block of Main Street in Brighton, Alabama. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office reported that Miller sustained fatal gunshot wounds during a reported assault and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office initiated a homicide investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
