On August 24, 2000, Eric Edwards was shot and killed while tending to his disabled vehicle in the early morning hours in Tulsa, Oklahoma. At approximately 2:28 a.m., Edwards was working on his vehicle in the street at 4500 North Garrison Avenue when two male suspects approached him. Without warning, they fired multiple shots at Edwards, fatally wounding him. He died at the scene before any help could arrive.
