On July 9, 2015, 28-year-old William Polk was found shot and killed in Oklahoma City, marking the 65th homicide of that year. The incident occurred in the northwestern part of the city. According to reports, Oklahoma City police were called to the scene in response to a reported assault involving a deadly weapon. Upon arrival, officers discovered Polk lying in the road with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
