In the summer of 2022, the life of 36-year-old Kenneth James came to a quiet and unsettling end within the walls of Donaldson Correctional Facility in Jefferson County. James, a male, was discovered unresponsive in his cell and, despite life-saving measures, was pronounced dead a short time later. His death, however, would not be a simple matter of record, as his family soon raised grave concerns about the circumstances surrounding his passing.
