Birmingham police are investigating two fatal shootings in the city that occurred Friday and today.
Kenneth James, 49, was discovered by detectives about 9:50 p.m. Friday in the 2900 block of Avenue Z, Ensley, said police spokesman Sgt. Johnny Williams Jr.
James was found shot in the back, according to Williams. He was taken to UAB Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
