On December 5, 2016, 21-year-old Ulises Lopez was found dead inside a home in southwest Oklahoma City after police responded to a call of unknown trouble. The investigation revealed that Lopez had been killed in an act orchestrated by Della Nichols, who accused Lopez of sexually touching her young daughter. Nichols allegedly directed her boyfriend, Adrian Escajeda, to carry out the crime as an act of "street justice."
