On February 3, 1973, Sharon Herring, a 26-year-old woman, was tragically killed alongside her husband, Eddie Herring, in their Dayton, Ohio home. Both Sharon and Eddie died from shotgun blasts. Eddie attempted to defend himself with a handgun but did not manage to hit the intruder before both he and Sharon were fatally wounded.
