Jamie Guadagno, a 26-year-old woman, was fatally shot on the evening of March 25, 2025, in Dayton, Ohio. Pointer had a criminal history, including a 1997 conviction for involuntary manslaughter, which added firearm and Repeat Violent Offender specifications to his charges. His indictment was issued by the Montgomery County Grand Jury, and his arraignment was scheduled for April 17, 2025.
At the time of his indictment, Pointer was in custody at a hospital after sustaining injuries in an unrelated traffic accident.
