Death by Force

On December 5, 1978, Ottelia Tavender, an elderly resident of Cincinnati, Ohio, was found murdered at her residence at 1 E. Court Street. Tavender, who was 84 years old at the time, had been beaten to death. The brutal nature of the attack shocked the community, especially given her age. The Cincinnati Police Department took charge of the investigation, but despite their efforts, the case remained unsolved and was later classified as a cold case.
