On July 14, 1986, Eugene Ward, a 70-year-old male, was killed during a robbery at his home in Columbus, Ohio. The incident took place at 1282 North 5th Street in Franklin County. During the robbery, Ward was struck in the jaw, an injury that led to his hospitalization. Unfortunately, while in the hospital, he developed pneumonia as a complication of his injury, which ultimately resulted in his death the same day.
