On June 11, 2010, 26-year-old Demetrius T. Hargrove was killed following an altercation that escalated into a deadly shooting. The incident occurred at approximately 10 p.m. inside the Express Mart store located at 900 E. 5th Avenue, on the Northeast side of Columbus, Ohio. Hargrove was shot during a dispute involving several men, and succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
