On April 17, 2017, at approximately 1:56 a.m., Columbus police responded to a shooting at 840 Wedgewood Avenue in Columbus, Ohio. Upon arrival, officers discovered a vehicle parked in the street, with multiple individuals injured in and around it. Omar Abdulkadir Ali, age 25, was found unresponsive in the driver’s seat, suffering from a gunshot wound.
