A 19 year old man's remains are found frozen in a water-filled ditch
On November 6, 1994, the body of 19-year-old Ronald S. Johnson was found frozen in a water-filled ditch approximately five miles northwest of Dunseith, North Dakota. His autopsy suggested he may have died from hypothermia, but evidence pointed to the fact that he had been beaten prior to being placed in the ditch, indicating foul play. The discovery of his body in such a state raised questions about whether he had been intentionally assaulted and left to die in the cold.
