On March 12, 2020, Dickinson Police responded to a report of a deceased male at a residence. Upon arrival, they discovered the body of 39-year-old David Galster.

An investigation revealed that Galster had died from homicidal violence. A suspect, 29-year-old Michael Mitchell, was identified and arrested in connection with the case. Mitchell was charged with murder, robbery, and theft.
