In the evening hours of July 3, 2024, in Dickinson, North Dakota, the life of 59-year-old Christopher Volney Ische, a Black male, was tragically cut short. Responding to a report of a shooting shortly after 7 p.m. on Enterprise Avenue, Dickinson police officers discovered Ische suffering from a gunshot wound. He was quickly transported to a local hospital for medical attention, but he ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
