On a September afternoon in 2026, the life of 18-year-old Malik Walker-Bey was cut short in a violent encounter at the Addison Road Metro Station in Capitol Heights, Maryland. The incident, which unfolded on September 7th, began as a verbal dispute outside the station. This initial argument soon escalated, moving inside to the mezzanine level of the transit hub, where it culminated in an exchange of gunfire.
