On the evening of April 15, 2015, Alonzo Matthew Stinnie, a 26-year-old resident of Takoma Park, Maryland, was shot and killed in Capitol Heights. The incident occurred around 8:00 p.m. in the 6700 block of Calmos Street. Patrol officers from Prince George's County Police Department were called to the scene following reports of gunfire.
