On a late summer evening in Capitol Heights, Maryland, the life of 40-year-old Dustin Evans of Washington, D.C., was tragically cut short. On September 5, 2026, at approximately 11:50 p.m., the sounds of gunfire pierced the night in the 1100 block of Chapelwood Lane. When officers from the Prince George's County Police Department arrived at the scene, they found Evans outside, suffering from one or more gunshot wounds.
