In the late summer of 2026, the life of 19-year-old Quanterius Avance Elliott was cut short in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina. The events that culminated in his death on Wednesday, September 16, reportedly began over a ride home. An 18-year-old Zaxby's employee, Otis Lee Johnson Jr., had given a ride to Elliott's girlfriend, who was a coworker.
