Anireeyah Brue, an 18-year-old woman, was fatally shot late Friday night, August 14, 2026, in Baker, Louisiana. According to Baker Police, officers responded to a 911 call at approximately 11:45 p.m. in the 6300 block of East Myrtle Street. When officers arrived, they found Brue suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency personnel transported her to a local hospital, but she died from her injuries.
The East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner’s Office later confirmed her identity and reported that coroner personnel were called to the case at about 1 a.m. on Saturday, August 15.
