On August 28, 2014, 18-year-old LaQuincia K. Wilkerson, a resident of Baker, Louisiana, tragically lost her life to gun violence. The young African American woman was mourned by her community, with services held at Hall's Celebration Center and interment at Thomas Chapel Cemetery in Baker. She is survived by her mother, LaKedra Wilkerson McClure III; her father, Quincy Pondexter; one sister; and one brother.
