A quiet Monday morning in Baker, Louisiana, was shattered by an act of domestic violence that claimed the life of a young woman. Kyra Hayes, a 24-year-old female, was fatally shot by her boyfriend in their home on Tristian Avenue. The incident unfolded around 6:45 a.m., when a grandparent living in the residence heard the sound of gunshots. Upon investigating, the grandparent discovered both Hayes and her boyfriend with gunshot wounds and immediately called for help.
