In the early evening of Tuesday, August 18, 2026, a dispute at a Greenville County intersection escalated into a fatal shooting that claimed the life of 29-year-old Roberto Armando Reynaga Flores. The incident, which authorities have described as a road rage confrontation, began at the intersection of Farrs Bridge Road and Eunice Drive. Flores, who was a resident of Greenville, was driving with a passenger when the altercation occurred.
Investigators determined that another vehicle was involved, and its driver, 18-year-old Simon Alexsander Solis Pacheco, exited his car and fired at Flores before fleeing the scene. Despite being wounded, Flores managed to drive away from the intersection, eventually pulling into a parking lot at 1913 Cedar Lane Road, where he was discovered inside his vehicle with at least one gunshot wound.
Emergency services were dispatched to the scene at approximately 5:13 p.m. and transported Flores to Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital in serious condition. Despite the efforts of medical staff, Roberto Armando Reynaga Flores succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 5:53 p.m. The Greenville County Coroner's Office subsequently ruled his death a homicide. Within hours of the shooting, at approximately 11:30 p.m. on the same evening, members of the Greenville County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Apprehension Specialized Investigations Team located and arrested Simon Alexsander Solis Pacheco at a residence on Four Oak Way. Pacheco was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Greenville County Detention Center. He has been charged with murder, attempted murder, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. The attempted murder charge stems from the presence of the passenger in Flores' vehicle at the time of the shooting.
