Ricardo Gomez, a 16-year-old boy, was fatally shot on the night of August 18, 2026, in Chicago's Little Village neighborhood. The shooting occurred shortly after 11:10 p.m. in the 2600 block of South Hamlin Avenue, where Ricardo was outside near the home of his girlfriend. According to accounts from people close to him, he had gone there to visit her and was standing outside when a vehicle approached.
