Damian Barnes, a 22-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on January 13, 2013, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the North Lawndale neighborhood, a community often plagued by violence. Damian was sitting in the driver's seat of a parked vehicle when an assailant entered the car and shot him in the back. This brutal act of violence resulted in his immediate death.
