In the late summer of 2026, the life of 31-year-old Desi D. Moore Sr. of East St. Louis, Illinois, was tragically cut short. On the evening of August 2nd, a fatal encounter unfolded in the 5900 block of Mitchell Lane in the neighboring community of Cahokia Heights. Moore was shot and subsequently rushed to Touchette Regional Hospital for medical attention.
