In the warm evening of June 17, 2026, the life of 21-year-old Saimara Washington was tragically cut short in her Mobile, Alabama apartment. Just before midnight, officers from the Mobile Police Department responded to a call at the Hillcrest Estates Apartments on Airport Boulevard. Inside, they found Saimara with a fatal gunshot wound. The promising young woman, remembered by her family as sweet and deeply loved, became the city's 12th homicide victim of the year.
