On a tragic Sunday afternoon, June 21, 2026, the life of 20-year-old Tristyn August was cut short in a fatal shooting in Rockford, Illinois. The incident occurred around 4:45 p.m. in the parking lot of a Circle K gas station located on East State Street. First responders discovered August inside a vehicle, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound. Despite immediate medical attention, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
