Chucky Laster, a 37-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on July 7, 2018, in Rockford, Illinois. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning when police were called to the intersection of Harlem and Sherman Street following reports of multiple gunshots. Upon arrival, officers found Laster suffering from a gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
