On that fateful Wednesday, Norman had left his grandmother's home, which was less than a mile from where he was ultimately found, to walk with friends to meet another acquaintance. At approximately 7:45 p.m., the sound of gunshots shattered the evening peace near the intersection of South Taylor and Chouteau avenues.
