William Nelson Jr., a 29-year-old man from St. Louis, was killed on April 6, 2026, after a shooting near North 10th Street and Cass Avenue in the Old North St. Louis neighborhood. The shooting was reported at about 6:40 p.m., placing the attack in the early evening near a busy part of the city, close to downtown and the surrounding residential streets. Police said Nelson was shot and then taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.
