Mainard Rederra Winn, a 62-year-old man, was fatally shot on the morning of June 27, 2026, at a residence on Hattie Bell Tatum Road near Mount Olive, Mississippi. At approximately 10:36 a.m., the Simpson County Sheriff's Office received a report of shots being fired at 109 Hattie Bell Tatum Road. Deputies hurried to the property and discovered Winn suffering from a gunshot wound. He had already died by the time authorities arrived.
