In the early morning hours of Sunday, June 28, 2026, the life of Christopher Lynn Brooks, a 40-year-old man from Pembroke, North Carolina, was tragically cut short. Police responded to the vicinity of College Street and Barker Street in Pembroke shortly after 4:30 a.m. to find Brooks suffering from a gunshot wound.
