Thomas Kevin Barlow, a 57-year-old man, had dedicated nearly two decades of his life to the Chicago Transit Authority. Known as Kevin to his friends and loved ones, he was a familiar and reassuring presence for those he worked with. In the early morning hours of June 29, 2026, Barlow was working the overnight shift at the CTA's 98th Street Railyard on State Street, a routine he had followed for years.
