Myrio Shields, a 46-year-old African American man from West Garfield Park, Chicago, was fatally shot on September 20, 2020. The incident occurred around 9:50 a.m. while Shields was sitting in the driver-side of his vehicle in the 3900 block of West Roosevelt Road, conversing with someone standing on the passenger side.
