Peter Lee Jackson Jr., a 20-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on September 5, 2021, in the South Shore neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred around 2:45 p.m. when Jackson was inside a vehicle parked in the 7800 block of South Clyde Avenue. According to the Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office, Jackson suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.
