Sheldon Moten, a 38-year-old Black/African American male from Kansas City, Kansas, died on May 26, 2026, after he was found in the roadway on Normandy Lane near South 37th Street. The morning began with a 911 call just after 5:00 a.m. reporting that someone was lying dead in the street. When Kansas City, Kansas, police arrived in the 2200 block of Normandy Lane, they found Moten deceased at the scene, and his death was investigated as a homicide.
