In the early hours of a Saturday morning, the life of 22-year-old Carlos Roberto Torrijos of Fort Wayne, Indiana, was tragically cut short on May 30, 2026. Gunfire erupted around 12:30 a.m. in a parking lot situated in the 200 block of East Rudisill Boulevard, between a gas station and a pizza restaurant. The Fort Wayne Police Department was first alerted to the possibility of gunfire through a Flock Audio Detection system, an alert that was quickly followed by a 911 call reporting the shooting.
